For great-tasting coffee every day, it is vital to clean and regularly back-flush your espresso machine group head This essential accessory, a blind filter disc from Brew Tool, is made from rubber and creates a seal inside of your portafilter basket. This allows you to back-flush your machine with almost any filter basket.
By inserting the rubber disc over the holes inside your portafilter basket, with a dose of a detergent such as Urnex Cafiza 2 or Caffenu cleaning powder, and locking the portafilter into the group head, you can back-flush an espresso machine by running a short brew cycle. This directs hot water and the detergent back inside the group head, quickly and effectively ridding your machine of unwanted coffee build-up.
This blind filter disc is compatible with standard 58 mm portafilter baskets.
