Brew Tool Bellows Hopper

Brew Tool makes a number of products aimed at improving the relatively complex espresso-brewing process. This single-dose bellows hopper is one such accessory, designed to help you get the most out of your Eureka Mignon (or similar) coffee grinder.

The unique benefit of a bellows hopper is, unsurprisingly, the bellows. By pressing down on the aluminium lid and compressing the silicone bellows, air is blown through your grinder's chute, ensuring that all your grinds end up in your portafilter (or dosing cup, if that's your preference). This also helps keep your grinder clean.

Even more importantly, using the bellows hopper ensures that the flavour of your beans is unaffected by any leftover grinds should you change the coffee, which, as a coffee lover, is something you may find yourself doing often. Single-dose hoppers are especially suited to smaller, predetermined doses so that you can try out different coffees as you like with little retention-based flavour contamination.

This level of control and flexibility is what makes single-dosing so attractive. A lot of the excitement within specialty coffee comes from experiencing new beans and flavours, and single-dose grinders are specifically designed with that in mind. Moreover, hoppers like Brew Tool's allow you to retrofit older but popular grinders, like Eureka's Mignon series, rather than having to buy an entirely new grinder (not that purpose-built single-dose grinders aren’t also fantastic for the same reasons).

Made of high-quality aluminium and silicone, Brew Tool's hopper is also durable, opaque, and well-sealed, allowing you to store your beans in it without significantly affecting their freshness. It is compatible with a range of Eureka's Mignon grinders, but should also be compatible with any grinder matched to its 4.1cm output diameter.
