How to use Caffenu Espresso Machine Cleaning Powder

For back flushing:

• Place 1 teaspoon (3-5 g) of Caffenu Cleaning Powder in the blind filter.
• Start the brew cycle for 10 seconds, then stop for 10 seconds.
• Repeat this cycle 5 times.
• Remove the portafilter and start the brew cycle, rinsing the portafilter with water from group head.
• Brush the group head and rinse again.
• Reinsert portafilter with no powder and carry out the flushing procedure twice to rinse.
• Make and discard one espresso shot.

For cleaning of portafilters, filter baskets, shower screens or any other metal parts:

• Dissolve 2 teaspoons (8-10 g) of Caffenu Cleaning Powder per 1 litre of hot water in a suitable container - a metal jug does nicely
• Soak the parts for ~20 mins.
• Rinse the parts thoroughly with fresh water.
