A pouring kettle is one of the things those uninitiated in the world of specialty coffee might look at with a little bemusement— doubly so for kettles that also provide temperature control. The truth, however, is that they really can be an essential piece of kit for pour-over enthusiasts. While it’s arguably a bit more advanced than dose or grind size, temperature is nevertheless a primary variable involved in coffee extraction, and a precise, easily controlled pour is essential for getting consistently good results from your pour-over brewer. 

The original Timemore Fish was already a gold-standard smart pouring kettle, and fortunately the new Pro model retains everything that was so great about it, for example, the intuitive touch-slider interface and clear LED display. Together, these allow you to easily set your temperature anywhere between 45 and 100°C in precise 1°C increments (you can also set your kettle to display Fahrenheit if you prefer). After a fast 2 - 3 minute boil, temperature is maintained for 1 - 12 hours, mitigating the additional power drawn by multiple reheats. 

One new design feature the Fish Pro boasts over the original is a larger capacity. With an effective capacity of 900ml, the Fish Pro can easily pour for up to 3 large cups, and even 4 smaller cups at a stretch. Maintained from Timemore’s original Fish is the elegant and now slightly wider gooseneck spout which pours at a 90° angle straight down with minimal start or stop delays. This, alongside the Fish Pro’s elegant and ergonomic design (a hallmark of Timemore’s products), gives you ultra-precise control over your flow rate and the direction of your pour.
